Officials speculated and they were right!!

We thought it was super crazy that South African sprinter Caster Semenya had to go through complicated tests to prove she's actually a woman......and a man!

Tests conducted during the world athletics championships in Berlin last month, where Semenya has been at the centre of an emotional storm, after taking gold in the women's 800 metres at the world championships and prompting claims she was a man.

The 18-year-old South African champ has no womb or ovaries and her testosterone levels are more than three times higher than those of a normal female, according to reports. Testosterone is a hormone responsible for building muscles and for producing body hair and a deep voice.

"God made me the way I am and I accept myself. I am who I am and I'm proud of myself," she told You Magazine, which ran a photo spread.

"I don't want to talk about the tests. I'm not even thinking about them."

The Athletics federation may disqualify her from future events and advise her to have surgery.
