Two weeks after her husband, Jon Gosselin, was reported to have been carrying on with a 23-year-old schoolteacher, Jon & Kate Plus Eight star Kate Gosselin is rushing to deny reports that she's having an affair too—before the reports have even been reported.

She is now the target of infidelity rumors.Responding to supposed rumors that she's been carrying on with bodyguard Steve Neild, Gosselin tells the magazine, "The next story coming out from the animals that stalk us is about our security person and his family. Already the allegations they're making about me are disgusting, unthinkable, unfathomable, and I am horrified."

"are people who absolutely love us and want to see us through to the end," Gosselin continues. "Of course, both of them travel with us at times, and we've spent holidays together, because, in this situation, your circle grows smaller and smaller, and it's very natural to become friends with your manager, your publicist, your security team...they're the only people you have left. And now they're coming under fire."

The "Jon & Kate Plus Eight" star insists she doesn't know what she can do about "the animals that stalk us" and their "disgusting, unthinkable, unfathomable" tales.

The horse has already left the barn, Kate. If you're now regretting your decision to expose your marriage and your family on national television in exchange for $60,000 or so per episode, book contracts, speaking fees and freebies ... well, maybe it's time to shoot the horse. Metaphorically speaking! Don't re-up for another season.

She says she is bothered by the realization that that though she and Jon made a conscious decision to open their home to cameras, their friends and family did not. "I had no idea we would potentially take down the people that we love around us."

"I'm totally panicking, and thinking, 'We are going to lose our last set of friends,'" Kate Gosselin tells People. "I keep calling them, begging, 'Seriously, I'm so sorry. Don't run away from us.' They keep saying, 'We're fine, we're fine.' But they have paparazzi in front of their house. It's so upsetting."

Well, maybe if she'd stop acting suspiciously and stop running to the press to squelch rumors that haven't even spread yet, people wold stop thinking that she's up to something fishy.
